Nintendo DS has a new addition to the family in the form of the Ninendo DSi. Even lighter and slimmer than the DS Lite, and with larger matte screens and better sound quality, it brings many exciting new features, such as photography, music, and of course new gaming experiences. It also comes with an extremely comprehensive user manual!
There is a wealth of online download-able stuff for your Nintendo DSi, such as the new Browser (free, and specially developed by Opera and Nintendo for the DSi), and a large variety of software including clocks and calendars and new games available from the DSiWare store. Your old DS Lite games will also be compatible however the game boy advance slot has been removed. New software can be accessed via the Shop function, enabling you to easily customise your own DSi to your specific needs. You’ll want to carry round your DSi with you all the time and as it is 12% thinner than the DS this becomes even more possible!
As Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata said: “We want to change the DS from something that’s in every household to something that’s for every person.”
Currently it comes in just black and white, but Nintendo are planning on releasing it in these snazzy colours in the future.
