Nintendo DSi Metallic Blue

bluedsiThough at the moment the DSi is only avaliable in black and white, Nintendo have launched three other colours in Japan.  These include a lime green, and a nice girly pink.  Along with these two other colours, the DSi has also been made avaliable in this dark shade of metallic blue.  I really like the extra colours Nintendo will offer the DSi Console in, as white or black can be a little bit dull and unoriginal.  The new colours have not yet been launched within Europe, but are avaliable in Japan.  From what I’ve heard it is more likely that these 3 fantastic colours will be launched in the States, before coming ‘across the pond’ to the UK and Europe.

The DSi is set to be popular this Christmas, so hopefully the additional colours will be out by then - but I wouldn’t bank on it!  The Pink DSi is likely to be the most popular, but stock for the entire range of colours is likely to sell out pretty quickly so it would make sense to get one before the mad Christmas rush.  I’m sure you remember how when the Nintendo Wii came out people struggled to get one, I would imagine the DSI Metallic Blue and the other colours in the range could be pretty similar.

If black and white are too plain for you, then getting the DSi in this lovely shade of blue may be the perfect option.  Nintendo haven’t said if they are thinking about launching the DSi in any other colours, but hopefully as it becomes popular they’ll start launching it in some other colours, in a similar way that Apple launched their newer iPods in a large array of colours.

Getting a Nintendo DSi and blue will hopefully be possible over the coming months.  It’s likely that when these other colours are launched in the UK that there will be a limited supply - so if you really want one you’ll have to try and get it as quickly as you can.

As you can see from the photos, the Metallic Blue DSi does look really good.  Just like with the Pink DSi the shade is quite dark which should hopefully be good at hidding greasy and grubby fingerprints.

Unless you really have your heart set on this colour, I would be tempted not to wait for it.  There isn’t an official release date for it and even when it is released it could still take some time to get one as they will be in limited supply.
